Dick Jauron: We're Screwed

I admit that I was one of the few who were excited to see Marv Levy back with the Buffalo Bills organization. I thought he would bring some respectability back to a team that - following a 5-11 season - has proven to be full of whiney veteran quitters. So maybe you can understand my confusion following the apparent hiring of Dick Jauron today.

I mean, what better way to come back from a 5-11 season full of offensive futility and apparent defensive apathy than to hire a coach who finished his career in Chicago at 35-46 with a history of poor game management and confused looks to and from the sideline? The players will like him of course - he runs an easy camp and isn’t a disciplinarian - but that isn’t going to win any games. It certainly isn’t going to drastically improve a team which lacked any kind of cohesiveness last season.

I want to believe Marv and Ralph are doing their very best for this franchise, but I’m somewhat concerned that they both have alzheimer’s.

IT Could Happen…Again

Phish logoLook who’s in the freezer.

About 500 days since “the curtain”, things are abuzz in the world of Phish. Apparently some good old feelings resurfaced last November when Gordon and Fishman joined Trey onstage during a show at the Aud in Utica, NY.

I support these feelings

SU Hosts Block Party

Roberts getting his ass kicked

Yeah…you probably saw this game. I don’t think SU’s front court could have played any worse offensively nor hacked around worse defensively. Terrence Roberts and Darryl Watkins combined for a grand total of 3 points on 1-8 shooting, 14 boards and 3 turnovers in 38 minutes, rendered completey ineffective by the play of Gay, Armstrong, and Boone (the latter two, coincidentally, are shown here owning Roberts on one of his out-of-control-yet-weak takes to the rim). This team is going to go as far as the two big guys play down low. If Terrence and Darryl decide they can’t play any better than they are right now against top talent, then it’s going to be a long couple of years.

I hope Boeheim is shopping for some talent.
