¡VIVA EL BÉISBOL!

Mr. Met

At 10-2, the Mets are off to the best start in franchise history. After the last 5 years of futility I can only hope that this doesn’t turn into another sad case of crash and burn. I really, really have enjoyed watching this team so far though.

D. Wright may be the best young hitter in baseball not named Pujols, Delgago is causing all sorts of problems for pitchers in the cleanup spot, and Reyes is hitting a little bit while still weilding that glove at short. The defense has been mostly excellent. the starting pitching has been even better, and Wags is throwing some shut down ball in late innings. Things look good so far.

Alas, I know it’s only April and that things can change drastically over the course of a season. My only hope is that these guys can stay healthy and continue to play great baseball. If that happens, we’ll see you in October.
