Not a very busy weekend at all…

Yeah, we really didn’t do much over the weekend. It was pretty laid back.

Oh except on Saturday Carm graduated from RIT with a degree in Computer Science, so that was pretty exciting. The ceremony seemed a little shorter than last years but the result remained the same - 500 students with degrees in FPS have been unleashed onto the unsuspecting world of IT. Carm’s parents took us all out to the Outback for a heart slowing dinner, and afterwards Glen and his girlfriend Lindsey stopped by on their way back from Niagara Falls. We managed to get out to Soho’s and catch one of the elusive Gallagher brothers in action before calling it a night.

eddiesings.jpgOn Sunday we drove to Philadelphia to catch Pearl Jam in the second night in a two night stand in Camden, NJ. Let me tell you something about Camden - it’s basically the armpit of Philly. When trying to get to the Tweeter Center on the Waterfront, do not turn on a bunch of random one ways because you will end up in the ghetto. Or at least something that’s close enough to the ghetto. We met up with Chad, and on the way to meeting up with Chad we randomly ran into Bob and some others from Oswego as well. Eddie and the boys really lit it up on stage as well, leaving us all smiles after the show.

On Monday we took a walk around Philly with Chad as our tour guide. Despite finding out that about 3 different places had closed for Memorial Day, we ended up at a cool Irish bar for some grill. One delicious philly steak later, I was stuffed. On the way back, we stopped off at the fountain at Love Park for a little soak before heading back to Chad’s place and ultimately back to the road.

I’d like to thank Chad for his hospitality and his general knowledge of Philly. If he wasn’t around, I’m pretty sure we would’ve been shot….or at least we would’ve gotten lost somewhere in Southeastern PA….

So no, it wasn’t a very busy weekend at all.

RIP Skipper

Skipper
When he was younger, he may have been annoying with all of his barking at all hours of the day. When he was older, he may have been a pest to anyone that was around. But he was a great pet, and we’ll all miss him.

Rest in peace, pup.

Beautiful downtown Rochester

We hit up downtown Rochester on Saturday night for a few drinks - I personally hadn’t been down there in a while so it was nice to walk around and have some street vendor hot dogs. Carm agrees, there’s nothing quite like a tube of mixed meat with onions, peppers, and mustard on top. Well, except for maybe a Texas Hot.
