Busy times in Rochacha (and abroad)
I really haven’t had a lot of time to sit down and actually post something in a while, but I thought I’d take 10 minutes before bed and get some thoughts down. Before last weekend, Carm and I had been super busy - first we caught a Subway Series game at Shea, where the Mets spanked the Yankees 10-7 in front of the home crowd. Seeing David Wright go yard not once, but twice, was absolutely glorious. The following weekend we spent in Scranton with the Bartley family - these get togethers always seem to be interesting, and this one did not disappoint. Finally, the weekend of June 1st we spent in the Catskills attending Mountain Jam III (pictures coming at some point). Needless to say, last weekend was VERY welcomed.
Now here we are, the second week of June, and apparently the Mets have forgotten how to play baseball. At 2-10 for the month of June, it’s been a real rough go. I just hope I can hang on and not kill myself in the meantime. The Yankees series this weekend should be interesting to say the least, with the Bombers one of the hottest teams in baseball and the Mets one of the coldest.
9-1, bottom of the 8th…time for bed.
