I guess I’m kind of late on this, eh? Sorry about that, but you know how it can be- what, with seeing so many friends and family in such a short amount of time…it can be hazardous to a blogger’s posting frequency. My New Year’s Resolution is to not go a week without posting or working on this site in some way…hopefully I can make it to February or so!

We took a much needed relaxing vacation over the last couple of weeks, taking our time with everything and everyone to maximize our time away from work. We saw our friends Kim and Kyle when they got into Rochester on the 23rd and haven’t looked back. From there it was off to Carm’s house for some Christmas Eve dinner and evening gift opening, and then to my house for Christmas morning gift opening and dinner. I think Carm and I made out pretty well, as she nicely summarized earlier this week. We hung out in Oswego until the 27th and then came back to Rochester to hang out and enjoy some time off at home. It’s weird knowing that other people are working when you aren’t- it’s like you’re playing hooky.

Tammy- thanks for getting us that picture of all of us from Scranton…I didn’t think it’d ever surface! The frame is gorgeous is well, but that picture was the best part. We missed you! Think about coming up this way next year if you can.

My brother’s birthday was last Friday and we celebrated by getting everyone together to go to Red Lobster in Syracuse - he might claim to not be 65 years old, but now that he’s 32 he’s practically halfway there anyway. Those gray hairs are starting to thicken into streaks, methinks. Just kidding, love you bro! And since I haven’t said anything about it on here, congratulations once again to both of you. I’m calling a boy.

Saturday and Sunday were really just chill days, as we counted down our inevitable return to work. We still had one more challenge: New Year’s Eve/Day. We didn’t really have any idea of what we were doing for sure until Sunday evening, but Glen and Courtney came out to Rochester to ring in the New Year with us- a case of beer, a bottle of wine and two bottles of Asti made for a pretty great new year’s celebration apparently.

After all of that we’re still not ready to go back to work- but can you blame us? We’ve been getting paid to hang out with people that we don’t usually get to see and get some cool new things. Finally, I would like to say one last “thank you” to both of our families for taking us in and showing us what Christmas is all about- delicious home cooked food. Mmmm. Happy New Year!
