It doesn’t get any worse than this guy, nearly losing it while talking about how the Pats got screwed out of about “30 some seconds” on the Giant’s game winning drive. He adds up seconds to the tenth and then indirectly accuses the NFL of some kind of conspiracy against the Pats (I think). You don’t need to watch the whole thing, just skip to about the 6:14 mark.
I think I cried after Super Bowl XXV, but I was 8.
This isn’t exactly news if you’re a follower of Deadspin, but I’m pretty sure no one who actually visits my site does (besides Matt, maybe)…this is a video of Chris Berman flipping his lid during a taping for Monday night Football back in 2000. Good stuff, Boomer!
Are you kidding me with this game? Eli Manning was intercepted AND sacked three times on the last drive, yet somehow all of that turned into a miracle 32 yard one-handed helmet catch by David Tyree (Syracuse football alum) that kind of let you know that karma was on the side of the Giants. As much as I bashed Eli in my last post, I’ve got to say that I was absolutely impressed with his performance not only in this game, but for the entire span of the playoffs. And as much as I can’t root for the Giants (thanks to Scott Norwood), I can’t help but feel good for their entire team right now - they were given pretty much no shot to win this game, but they buckled down and got the job done by putting Brady on his ass over and over again.
This one surely hurts for the Patriots, but I suppose they’ll be able to get over it a little easier by looking at the three rings already on their hands.
